Metal-Cutting Equipment

Turning machines are used for the processing of body of revolution type workpieces by cutting and/or turning. Main operations are turning and boring of cylindrical, conical and shaped surfaces. Multifunctional turning centers are able to provide processing of complex workpiece geometries in one setting: simultaneous turning, drilling and milling operations.

Milling machines are used for the processing of flat and shaped surfaces by milling cutters. The milling cutter, fixed into the spindle of the machine, performs rotary (primary) motions while the workpiece fixed on the table performs linear and nonlinear feed motions. The control may be performed manually, automatically or through CNC.

Machining Centers are used for complex, high speed and high accuracy processing of workpieces by milling, turning, boring and drilling. It is the best choice when high output, flexibility and speed are required. The main advantages of Machining Centers are the high level of automation, precision, productivity and cost effectiveness.

Boring machines are used for the processing of holes with precise positioning of axes in a rectangular coordinate system and fine milling along the coordinate axes. Marking and control of linear dimensions can be performed on the boring machine.

Drilling machines are used for the drilling of blind and through holes in sold material, boring, counterboring, reaming, internal threading.                 

Gear equipment is used for the processing of gear wheels, worms, and racks. Depending on the tool used for the main operation, the gear equipment can be divided into the following types: gear hobbing, gear cutting, gear broaching and gear shaping (shaving, skiving, grinding,  honing, chamfering, deburring) machines

Broaching machines are used to process the holes and surfaces of various shapes by a special tool – broach. They can be designed for general or special purposes and can be categorized by use: internal or surface broaching.  The broach can run linearly against a surface of the workpiece to effect the cut or it can be motionless while the workpiece moves.

Grinding machines are used for the finishing of a workpiece by the removal of metal layer from its surface with an accuracy of a tenth of a micrometer and for the achieving of high cleanliness of the treated surface.

Honing machines are used for the treating of internal and, more rarely, external surfaces. They produce a precision and clean surface on a metal workpiece.

Used for the sharpening of various metal cutting tools. The machines are categorized by the process of sharpening which can be abrasive and nonabrasive.

Such equipment provides the possibility to conduct the complex processing of a workpiece within one working place or one working line.
